Code of Conduct InterRed

Our Shared Commitment

InterRed is a family-owned company. Our success is driven by the people who work here, their knowledge, their ideas and their willingness to take responsibility – as well as by long-term, trust-based relationships with our customers and business partners.

We stand for freedom, democracy, tolerance, the rule of law and respectful interaction with one another. These values form the basis of responsible business conduct at InterRed.

Our Code of Conduct sets out the key principles that guide our conduct at InterRed – both in our dealings with one another and in our relationships with customers, business partners and other people with whom we work.

It applies equally to the Management Board, managers and employees.

1. Team spirit and collaboration

We are InterRed.

Our goal is to build a strong, united team.

We work together, support one another, share knowledge and help each other achieve our common goals.

We regard hierarchical levels primarily as a means of allocating responsibilities. Different roles involve different tasks, decision-making authority and responsibilities. They do not determine a person’s individual worth.

We therefore treat one another with respect, regardless of position or function.

The freedom and autonomy we give one another go hand in hand with responsibility. We expect reliability, commitment and a willingness to contribute to our shared success from one another.

2. Integrity and lawful conduct

We comply with applicable law and our binding internal policies and requirements. We expect integrity, a sense of responsibility and reliability from all employees and, in particular, from our managers.

We reject corruption in all its forms. We make business decisions objectively, independently and without improper influence. Gifts, invitations or other personal benefits must neither influence business decisions nor create the appearance of improper influence.

We address potential conflicts of interest at an early stage and in a transparent manner. We are committed to fair competition and comply with applicable competition and antitrust laws.

3. Respect and human rights

We respect the dignity and fundamental rights of every person and treat one another with respect, openness and fairness.

We respect different personalities, experiences, backgrounds, ways of life and beliefs. Discrimination, harassment, bullying, intimidation and personal disparagement have no place at InterRed.

Personal freedom ends where the rights or dignity of others are infringed, the legitimate interests of the company or our business partners are adversely affected, or applicable laws or binding requirements are violated.

We reject forced labour, child labour, human trafficking and inhumane working conditions, and we respect fundamental workers’ rights.

4. Responsibility for our employees

We create a working environment characterised by mutual respect, trust and personal responsibility.

The health and safety of our employees are important to us. We comply with applicable occupational health and safety requirements and provide the conditions necessary for safe working.

We promote professional and personal development, the sharing of knowledge and open communication. Problems, mistakes and opportunities for improvement should be raised at an early stage and addressed constructively.

5. Responsibility towards customers and business partners

As a family-owned company, we think and act with a long-term perspective.

Financial stability provides the basis for secure jobs, continuous development, investment in our products and reliable partnerships with our customers.

Our customers and business partners should be able to rely on us. We deal with them professionally, respectfully, fairly and in a dependable manner.

We take agreements and commitments seriously. We raise problems and risks that are material to a business relationship appropriately and at an early stage.

Our aim is to build long-term business relationships based on trust, performance and mutual respect.

6. Data protection and information security

As a technology company, we have a particular responsibility for information, data and digital systems.

We protect personal data and confidential information and handle them with due care. We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection requirements and our binding internal policies and requirements.

We protect confidential information against unauthorised access and disclosure. We handle access credentials and other security-relevant information with particular care.

We regard information security as a shared responsibility. Identified security risks and potential security incidents are reported and handled through the designated channels.

7. Environment and sustainability

We take responsibility for people and the environment and use natural resources conscientiously.

We comply with the environmental laws and requirements applicable to us and seek to avoid or reduce the environmental impact of our activities and to use energy and resources efficiently.

As a family-owned company, we think and act with a long-term perspective. Financial stability, responsible use of resources and sustainable corporate development are inseparably linked in our view.

8. Responsibility and open communication

We take responsibility for our tasks, decisions and results. We take agreements and commitments seriously.

Potential violations of laws, this Code of Conduct or other binding requirements should be raised openly. Employees may contact their manager, another manager, the Management Board or a designated contact person for this purpose.

Reports and concerns are handled carefully and confidentially. Anyone who raises a concern about a potential violation in good faith must not suffer any disadvantage as a result.

Our shared commitment

A Code of Conduct cannot cover every situation that may arise in day-to-day working life. We therefore expect all employees to make decisions responsibly and in accordance with our values and principles.

Our conduct should be lawful, ethical and fair and should take into account the legitimate interests of InterRed, our employees, customers and business partners.

Our Code of Conduct provides a common framework for doing so. What matters is that we put these principles into practice in our day-to-day conduct.

We are InterRed.
