The Rheinische Post Mediengruppe is a medium-sized European media enterprise. With a daily circulation of about 290,000 copies and around 814,000 readers, the Rheinische Post, published by the Rheinische Post Mediengruppe, is the most widely circulated daily newspaper in the Rhineland. A strong parliamentary office in Berlin underscores the Rheinische Post’s journalistic interest of being the voice of the west that is heard at the German federal level. With a majority shareholding in the Saarbrücker Zeitungsgruppe, the Rheinische Post Mediengruppe is among the top five newspaper publishers in Germany in terms of circulation. The Saarbrücker Zeitungsgruppe publishes such newspapers as the Saarbrücker Zeitung, the Trierischer Volksfreund, the Lausitzer Rundschau and the Pfälzischer Merkur.

Through RP Online, which reaches around 6.97 million unique users per month, the media group includes one of the most wide-reaching online portals of any German daily newspaper. The media enterprise also participates in two local TV broadcasters, 17 radio broadcasters and seven German advertising paper publishers with a weekly circulation of around 4.3 million copies. Its efficient printing center in Düsseldorf brings state-of-the-art printed products to market. DVV Media Group publishes more than 50 newspapers, magazines and specialized books about logistics, transport and shipping for the media group.

Internationally, the media group is broadly positioned: It holds a majority shareholding in Luxembourg-based Amplexor, a global translation and document management service provider with over 1,650 employees at 40 locations in 22 countries. The media group’s sales are around EUR 680 million annually, with around 5,000 employees in Germany and abroad.
