Apple was established by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne on April 1st in 1976. At that time Apple traded under the name Apple Computer Inc. and was worldwide one of the first companies contributing to the spread of personal computers. Today it has its headquarter in Cupertino, California (USA). 

In the 1980s above all Apple was applicable involved in the development of today´s computer mouse and graphical user interfaces. Since 2001 Apple is selling its mobile music-player iPod very successful, which is on the market in many variants by now. With the iPhone Apple revolutionized the mobile communication world: As the world´s first mobile it has a huge touchscreen with multi-touch-functions available, in contrast the key pad was disclaimed. Within two years apple sold more than 10 million iPhones of the first and the second generation.
