Versioning
The versioning of InterRed (OptiVersion) ensures that the whole life-cycle of an article and its content is traceable. The complete process, from the creation to the archiving, can be tracked with the history-function, including all important information regarding authors, changes, dates of publication, etc. A graphical comparison of different versions of an article displays all changes that have been made. Using the ‘roll-back' function any article version can be reconstructed.
Compared to conventional approaches of versioning the brand-based versioning of InterRed particularly simplifies and accelerates the complex content management and content delivery processes. With this technology a special article version can be marked. A mark can for example carry the note 'for CD'. At the next publication run all articles marked that way will be considered for a CD production. Therefore, the version of an article on the website can differ from its version on a CD.
