InterRed Feature-Lexicon

Media-neutral data storage

There was a time when XML was thought to be most important regarding Cross-media. InterRed has always conceived media-neutrality to be much more, as for real and, in particular, automatic cross-media a media-neutral typography is required.

This has been developed in the research work of many years by InterRed, with the result being InterRed TXML®, the typographic exchange format. All content is stored in this TXML-format in InterRed. The content is then made available in the respective editor (Word®, Adobe InDesign®, Quark XPress® etc.) or in the output-format (website, PDF, RSS etc.) in the familiar way. The conversion does take place automatically by the high-performance InterRed TXML-engine.
