InterRed Feature-Lexicon
Media database
Using the media database graphical objects can be centrally administrated and be integrated at the designated positions in Inter-Red content. With the central storage of data, objects can be used at several positions, without really existing multiple times.
Content can be integrated in a static or dynamic way (linking & embedding). Thereby, an image linked to the media database is automatically updated at the different positions, if it is changed in the media database. In contrast, images of the media database that are fixed in articles (embedding) are not updated through a change.
As a further highlight InterRed provides an image-search for all contents with the use of the media database. Thereby, even graphics and images that are not stored in the media database are searchable. Metadata, which are used to determine the results, are acquired by the image-search using the article texts. Thereby, a powerful search-tool is available, rendering the laborious work of indexing unnecessary.
The image editing and video editing that are integrated in InterRed enable the basic processing of images and videos, for example format conversion or size adjustment.
