Media-neutral production system

The Content Management System InterRed Print is the central editorial tool. It maps the editorial processes of magazine and newspaper production. InterRed supports the editorial department in all stages of the magazine or newspaper creation, including the integrated issue and topic planning, the creation of editorial content in the form of articles and the interactive page planning. An innovative search finds pictures through the context of their enclosing articles. The reuse option for texts and pictures, as well as the online content usage, can be controlled centrally. Workflow-stages and the automated allocation of tasks support the teamwork between the departments of text and picture editing, repro, proofreading, translating and further involved groups.

Furthermore, InterRed Print is able to automatically generate the planned issue on the basis of an advertisement system. By using freely definable pattern models, basic structures of new issues can be generated very quickly. Later adjustments of the issue structure – up to the automated adjustment of the index - are supported. This also simplifies the generation of variants (for example for regional issues or personalization for target groups) and the generation of multilingual publications. All mentioned operations are carried out via a browser and are thereby independent of location. The integrated page-planning provides an overview of the latest production status to all involved persons and at all times.

Regarding the advertisement planning, a small ad placement-assistant imports the data from an advertisement system and enables automated line breaks. Essential for this is the bidirectional interface to advertisement management systems. With their help and with the InterRed placement-assistant the ad editors are directly involved in the creation of the newspaper or magazine. Double assignments by the editorial department and the ad editors, as well as empty space due to cancelled ads, thereby are a thing to the past. The standing type function of InterRed enables a fast response to these events.
