Data structures

The data structures are an essential element of 'Live'-Reporting. Therefore, a team of experienced database specialists developed an optimized data model. This guarantees a functional and fast Live-Reporting, even for high user numbers.

Architecture

1.) Hardware requirements

The following components are required by RhoLive:

- Linux (with Perl and PHP)
- MySQL
- Apache

If the software-requirements are fulfilled by an already used server, and it has enough capacity, RhoLive can also be operated with existing hardware.

If RhoLive is operated on an individual processor – which is advisable for high PI-numbers – there are no requirements for the web server on which the website is operated. An individual RhoLive-processor is required if there are more than about 1 to 10 million PI per month, depending on the utilized capacity of the web server.

2.) Software/client requirements

At the workstation of the client (RhoLive-user) no installations are required. A current standard internet-browser (Internet Explorer Version 5 or higher, Netscape Version 6 or higher) with activated JavaScript is enough.

3.) Software/visitors requirements

There are no requirements for the the website visitors. The user-identification is improved by activated JavaScript and Cookies.
